The Corundum-bearing mica-schist outcrops alongside the Sagstuen River (Sagstua) near Farsjø, Årnes, Nes, Viken, Norway are well-known, but it is rare that we see well-crystallized specimens from there. This fine large miniature specimen from Sagstuen is dominated by two slightly overlapping 2.6 cm wide, well-formed hexagonal crystals with a little mica-schist for company. Characterized by a slightly orange-pink colour in comparison to other worldwide Corundum crystals, this specimen demonstrates this very well with dark centres and paler edges.
