The Laundry West Meteorite is an L4 Ordinary Chondrite found in March 1967 at six miles NW of Laundry Rockhole, 25 miles N of Madura on the road to Loongana station on the Trans-Australian Railway, Western Australia. As a very large thumbnail-sized cut and polished slice, this 7 g sample shows the features of this rare occurrence very well, including remarkably angular (for a meteorite) outer edges, but this is documented online. The original find is recorded at less than 201.9 g in weight making this a significant piece. Ex David Baker Collection.
