Fluorite with Pyrite, Sphalerite and Galena$30,000.00

Green fluorite on pyrite is rare, but rare or not the combination on this large-cabinet piece creates a stunning aesthetic that simply leaps out from a distance - and is one of the more dramatic specimens in this size we have seen come out of the Milpo mining area in finds since around 2019. While many came out, some were merely green but this is top saturated neon green in color! While there are many smaller pieces, few of this size and quality, with separated juicy green crystals on pyrite matrix, even existed in any size. GEMMY and emerald-green, the fluorites here are modified cubeoctahedrons up to 6 cm on edge, and they have good luster with smooth-to-textured faces. With just a little bit of light they easily give the impression of being green glass, and in fact we nicknamed these few super-juicy pieces as "green jelly" when they first came out. This is likely from the early years (likely 2020-22), and was stashed for a while and sold to me by our Peruvian source much later. Additionally, they have a rich purple fluorescence. Overlay this intense saturated green color against the incredible, metallic sparkle of the pyrite and sphalerite/galena matrix, and the piece can simply draw you in from across the room. The contrasts in color, gemminess, luster, and form, combined with the sheer size, all contribute to making this one of the more beautiful and significant pieces I have seen from this renowned find. Extremely difficult to film, this is better in person.
