2023 saw a remarkable, but small, find of quartz specimens high in the Nepalese Himalayas. Quite elegant, this classic Japan Law twin spans 3.4 cm, and it is set on a matrix forested with glassy quartz points. The tabular twins are water-clear and accented with sharp, beveled edges. Taking this miniature to another level of uniqueness and beauty are the quartz phantoms. Outstanding preferential coatings are on one face of each twin, and they are unique in our experience for such twins from any location. Even more remarkable, if you look carefully, is that each twin has an INTERNAL phantom that follows the crystal and is mirrored by the preferential coating. The reverse faces of the quartz are perfectly clear and glassy. The elegance and soaring aesthetics makes this a highly-refined quartz specimen. We were fortunate to get these directly from the miners, and these are RARE. This is the best miniature of the style, of only half a dozen pieces.
