Considerably rarer than their Romanian counterparts, Stibnite from Kremnica (Kremnitz) is also often much more delicate, but also breathtaking in its form. As such, if you are interested in this specimen I would recommend discussing with us options for safe delivery. The whole specimen, which is smaller cabinet in size, is a web of intergrown thin, steely grey, metallic needles of Stibnite. Some of these form starburst-like radiating sprays with the longest individual crystal reaching 4 cm in length. Some of the longer crystals do have their tips missing, but many are fully terminated and in amazing condition considering its fragile nature. The Kremnica low sulphidation gold-silver deposits also contain antimony in association and Stibnite was one of the minerals found in the mines that caught the attention of collectors, but very few fine quality specimens made it safely into collections. Ex Simone and Peter Huber Collection, no. 524, acquired by them in 1987.
