Elbaite
Elbaite crystal, 9.5 cm, from the Dunton quarry, Newry, Oxford County, Maine. Collected in early December, 1972 by Dale Sweat, James Young, George Hartman and Frank Perham; ex collections of Dale Sweat, James Zigras, Dennis Tanjeloff, and Rob Lavinsky. Illustrated on the cover of Rock & Gem magazine, August 2013. Exhibited on loan at The Perot Museum of Nature and Science. Photographer: Kevin Brown.
