A gemmy and vibrant purple amethyst from a well known Mexican locality. Lustrous all around, with sharp terminations and zoned interior. A colorful and sharp example, with a nice scattering of smaller crystals around the base. There are some impressions and I note a half centimeter ding to the back of the termination.
