Väyrynenite is an uncommon manganese phosphate species and this delicate and colorful single thumbnail crystal originates from the Shengus region of Pakistan. This captivating thumbnail consists of a relatively glassy and gemmy, single väyrynenite crystal with a unique and beautiful pink-red hue accompanied by a second, more prismatic crystal near the base for great composition. The sharpness, color saturation, and overall quality make this a superb thumbnail specimen. There are bigger crystals out there along with more elongate gem crystals, but this is just an outstanding and colorful old classic from the early 2000s when only a few came out and it is in excellent condition. Although more were found since, they are an entirely different habit, elongated; and without the vibrant hot color of the earlier finds.
