Numerous, sharp, translucent crystals of leadhillite scattered on the surface of this fine miniature from the type locality in the Leadhills of Scotland. This is a rich specimen of leadhillite containing over a dozen sharp, translucent, dark gray crystals of leadhillite from 1 to 6 mm as individuals and clusters to 1 cm across. Crystals scintillate with any incident light. The glistening, gray crystals are set on starkly contrasting whitish matrix of granular to subhedral, sparkling cerussite (which is more apparent on the underside by its yellow tone, that at least the lower part of the matrix is hydrocerussite). This is just a great display specimen from the type locality.
