A large cluster of stibnite crystals, this hosting colorless blocky crystals of barite measuring to 2.5 cm in size. Crystallized siderite is present throughout. The specimen is in good condition and comes with an antique label as shown at the end of the video. The piece dates to the very early 20th century if not earlier.Felsobanya, now known as Baia Sprie in Maramures County, Romania, is a historic mining locality in the Baia Mare mining district. Mining in the area dates back many centuries and focused on hydrothermal veins containing lead, zinc, silver, and gold. Numerous underground mines worked the mineralized veins hosted in volcanic rocks.
