A gorgeous interlocking cluster of deep blue glassy gemmy cubic fluorite crystals, the largest measuring to 2.2 cm on edge. In super condition. The backside of the cluster is dusted with microscopic barite crystals.The Ozark Mahoning No. 1 Mine in Hardin County, Illinois was one of the major operations in the Illinois Kentucky Fluorspar District near Cave in Rock. The mine was developed in the mid 20th century to extract fluorite from vein and bedding replacement deposits in limestone. Production included large amounts of fluorspar used in the steel and chemical industries.
