With a gentle pink tone, this remarkably glassy Peruvian Fluorite is a crystallographic masterpiece. Hosted by a small aggregate of golden metallic Pyrite crystals, for which the Huanzala mine is better known, the complex cluster of Fluorite crystals are a little rough around the edges at one end. However, with that as its base, the crystals rise upwards, culminating in a stunning 3.2 cm wide crystal representing a combination of cube + octahedron + dodecahedron with its octahedral sides stepped, producing a structure akin to a pyramidal temple. The back of this main crystal is attached to the Pyrite matrix but all of its remaining sides are perfection and other smaller Fluorite crystals showing amazing structural complexity are developed alongside. An absolutely stunning South American Fluorite.
