Small cabinet in size, this Fluorite shows the classic Okorusu mine colour: a rich, slightly teal blue-green colour with great translucency meaning an excellent response to backlighting or directional lighting which picks out a slight zonation in colour, with thin darker lines towards the edges of the crystals. Forming a fine cluster for display, the crystals are standard cubes, which reach to 2.3 cm on edge. These crystals are not mirror bright, but Okorusu Fluorites rarely are, but do have a good reflectance and a somewhat waxy lustre. The Fluorite cubes have sharp edges and are in very good all round condition, with just minor occasional chipping to corners. The famous Okorusu mine closed in 2014 and so the supply of specimens is now limited to those recycled from collections. Ex Jesse Fisher Collection.
