Classic metallic twinned crystals of bournonite measuring to 2.0 cm in size on a quartz crystal matrix. In good condition. Creek. With just slight micro-damage present. Fine old time British classic.Bournonite from the Herodsfoot Mine in Cornwall, England occurs in hydrothermal vein deposits that were worked for lead, copper, and silver during the 19th century. The best specimens were recovered in the middle part of the 19th century. Bournonite formed as a lead copper antimony sulfide mineral and is often found with galena, quartz, and other sulfide minerals. Specimens from Herodsfoot are known among collectors for well formed crystals from this historic Cornish mining locality.
