When it comes to uniquely recognizable mineral specimens the exotic inky blue Fluorite on white Quartz from Huanggang Fe-Sn Deposit, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China is one association that really has no parallel elsewhere. Reportedly discovered in 2014 at the No. 4 mine at Huanggang, the Fluorite crystals are so heavily modified during crystallization that they are almost spherical in shape, but it is more their unique deep blue colour (for Fluorite) and their striking combination with white Quartz that produces the aesthetic appeal. At small cabinet to cabinet size, this fine specimen from Arvid Pasto's worldwide Fluorite collection is a really eye-catching piece.
