A wonderful and very large floater specimen of etched spessartine garnet from the Navegadora claim in Minas Gerais, Brail. These etched garnets are prized for their unique look, high luster, and deep cherry color. This example backlights moderately well. Some color can be seen through the edges, as pictured, and color can seen completely through with a stronger light. An impressive and unmistakable garnet with extremely high luster and intricate, fully through the specimen, etching. Nice!
