Beudantite, a lead iron arsenate sulphate hydroxide named after the famous early 19th century French mineralogist Francois Sulpice Beudant is one of the rarer secondary species encountered at Tsumeb mine in Namibia. This fine miniature specimen from the renowned collection of John Schneider (no. 1197) comprises a white Quartz matrix upon which many small brown and orange-brown bladed Beudantite crystals sit. These crystals are really sharp in their form, with many growing upright allowing their overall shape to be studied.
