This region in Brazil is one of the best-known pegmatite areas in the world, having produced many great tourmaline specimens for specimen collectors and to turn into gemstones, alike. This large miniature, elegantly spread out like a flower, features a cluster of elbaites that are an uncommon tabular habit with elongated thin crystals which are so amazingly clean and transparent to translucent. It has a special delicate style, and looks carved! Each crystal is GEMMY and lustrous, and the color is an attractive and uniform purplish-pink. With faces that are striated and terminations that are complex, this unusual cluster has an interesting and attractive aesthetic. Old material, perhaps 1980s and previous.
