An attractive, sculptural crystal from the renowned Pederneira pegmatite of gemmy, bi-colored tourmaline (variety elbaite) with one slender sidecar crystal as an accent, and nicely complemented with sparkling doubly-terminated quartz crystals. Highly lustrous and well-striated, this GEMMY elbaite is dominantly a beautiful bottle-green color with a core that is almost aqua-like. Lit just right, it's a gorgeous combination. The base of the crystal even exhibits some classic dissolution, which adds more mineral interest to this fine, representative piece that came out during Pederneira's heyday in the mid-2000's (we bought and sold this to John in about 2007). NO REPAIRS, which is rare and notable. This is the finest quality in this particular style and pocket, for a "single" in the size range. Comes with a custom lucite base.
