About ten small cubic crystals of zoned purple Fluorite are attached to two prism faces of a 6 cm long Quartz crystal, with millimetre-sized Pyrite crystals coating the Fluorite. This attractive specimen is from Horn' Slavkov (Schlaggenwald) in the Czech Republic and clearly shows three successive phases of mineral deposition. The Quartz crystal is mainly colourless, but has a milky-white outer coating over the horizontally striated prism faces. A pleasing and eye-catching specimen.
