An extremely rare and desirable amethyst from Hopktinton, Rhode Island! Hopkinton amethysts are among the most desirable East Coast minerals. Found in very small quantities in the 1980s, these amethysts are seldom seen on the market, and are coveted by East Coast collectors. This specimen is a beautiful self-standing cluster of milk-clear quartz with a prominent scepter of amethyst, aesthetically perched right in the center. There is some damage to the right side of the amethyst as well as some minor chipping on the tip, as seen in the photo. Despite this, it is still an exceptional piece for the locality, and a true collector’s dream.
