This pretty, pink, small cabinet specimen of Elbaite tourmaline on Quartz with pale purple Lepidolite mica and white Cleavelandite feldspar is from the Mawi pegmatites in Nuristan Province, Afghanistan. Several, wide prismatic Elbaite crystals (the largest to 4.5 cm in length), sit prominently partially within, and alongside several large, terminated Quartz crystals. The Elbaite crystals display an attractive pale bubblegum pink body colour with pale pastel green tips showing unusual natural undulating terminations. Patches of pale purple Lepidolite mica compliment the vivid pink tones making for a really eye-catching display.
