This striking specimen features a grouping of bright, lustrous metallic stibnite crystals from the famed Ichinokawa Mine in Japan, displaying the classic elongated crystal forms and silvery sheen for which Ichinokawa stibnites are renowned worldwide. While minor damage is present, the specimen remains highly attractive, with sharp, reflective surfaces that capture light and emphasize its strong visual presence. Located on Shikoku Island, the Ichinokawa Mine was historically one of the world's most important antimony producers, operating from the Edo period through the early 20th century and celebrated for yielding large, well crystallized stibnite specimens. Preserved with an antique label dating to the early 20th century, or possibly earlier, visible at the end of the video, this piece carries documented historical provenance and a tangible connection to a classic Japanese mineral locality. A rare and aesthetically impressive example, it represents an exceptional addition to any serious collection of fine stibnite specimens.
