Spessartine, crystals to 2.6 cm, from Rio Arriba County, New Mexico; collected with Kade Harrison. I had long known about this occurrence, but on our most recent trip, Kade and I got into a zone that produced much larger and prettier crystals than I had seen before. Philip Simmons collection; Philip Simmons and Erin Delventhal photo.
