Amethyst, 5.8 cm, from the Fat Jack mine, Bradshaw Mountains, Yavapai County, Arizona; collected with David Shannon and Mat Rheinlander in July of 1986. We found this in a huge collapsed pocket from around a pine tree’s roots. Somewhere around 1,100 scepters, up to 9 inches, thousands of quartz crystals and 2 Japan-law twins were found.
