Smoky quartz on microcline, 6.7 cm, from the Smoky Hawk mine, Crystal Peak, Teller County, Colorado; collected with Joe Dorris in 2009. This specimen was collected during the time when the Dorris family had a massive 50-foot pit dug on the Smoky Hawk. Many pockets were exposed on this wall.
