Pezzottaite crystal, 1.2 cm, in a cavity lined with tourmaline crystals, from Ambatovita, Mandrosonoro, Fianarantsoa Region, Madagascar. The crystal shows a pristine core forming a sharp and lustrous termination, and an etched rim composed of beryl and milarite. Collected in 2003 during an excursion to Ambatovita to inspect the progress of the diggings made by local miners. The specimen shows a small but unique sharp pezzottaite crystal.
