Liddicoatite on Quartz
Liddicoatite on quartz, 11 cm, from Tsarafara, Sahatany Valley, Antsirabe, Antananarivo Region, Madagascar; collected in 2017 during a mining campaign in the Tsarafara pegmatite, promoted by me with the goal of properly collecting the crystals in the cavities which were eventually found, and carried out by local Malagasy miners with the assistance of Italian mineral collector Giuseppe Agozzino. This “joint-venture” resulted in some significant diggings with the discovery of a few cavities which produced nice specimens such as this one. Gerhard Wagner collection; Federico Picciani photo.
