Quartz, 17 cm, from the Ochua mine, Namibia. Collected with Wayne Thompson and Bill Barker on a trip to look at a new tourmaline deposit in 1992. One could just reach into this hole and pull out quartz crystals unendingly, it seemed! Jeff Scovil photo.
