Millerite, 2-cm crystal, from the Rhonnda valley, South Wales. Collected during a period of lecturing at Royal Fort University in Bristol in 1971. The specimen came from one of the “tips” at the coal mine in South Wales. It was collected from very hard rock, with millerite remaining intact despite heavy hammering. Photo by Jeff Scovil.
