Amethyst, 18 cm, from Hallelujah Junction, Petersen Mountain, Washoe County, Nevada; collected with Jon Johnson and Paul Geffner. Jon had invited Paul and me to his claim to celebrate our birthdays. I found this pocket near the monolith and stood on my toes for at least four hours while I collected the pocket. My Achilles tendons were both badly strained at the end of the day!
