Tourmaline crystal, doubly terminated “floater,” 17.8 cm, from the Chia mine, São José da Safira, Minas Gerais, Brazil. This is the best specimen from a large lot bought from Pierre Laville in Hong Kong, jointly with Wayne Thompson and Gene Meieran, in October of 1996.
