The famous “Newmont Azurite,” 30 cm, collected at the Tsumeb mine, Namibia, in 1952. It was donated to the Museum by Newmont Mining in 1977. Some authorities have suggested that it might be the finest single mineral specimen in the world, though that judgment is a matter of personal taste.
