Amazonite, 6.5 cm, from Amelia Courthouse, Virginia. My first rock, a gift from my surrogate grandparents the Rev. William Gerow Christian and his wife Margaret, given to me en route to my first rock shop visit, a shop called Packard’s in Midlothian, Virginia, which is still in existence.
