Quartz and pyrite ("Excalibur"), 4.5 cm, from the Spruce claim, King County, Washington. Collected in 1977 and presented to Jay Medici by his father, in memory of their survival from a helicopter crash on their way to the same locality in 1978. Jeff Scovil photo.
