Kunzite spodumene, 23 cm, from the Urucum mine, Galiléia, Minas Gerais, Brazil. This flawless crystal has a well-formed termination (not evident in this photo) and no cleaved surfaces, characteristics which are typical of this historic locality that has been among the world’s most prolific producers of kunzite specimens. Chosen as the feature specimen on the poster for the 2020 Munich Mineral Show. Forever Collection, ex Gene Meieran; Tom Spann photo. Reference: Cassedanne (1986).
