Baryte with Realgar

For all of its amazingly rich diversity in minerals one thing stands out with Romanian mineralogy - the general lack of bright colours. The Realgar-included Baryte from Baia Sprie (Felsöbánya) is one exception and this cabinet-sized specimen is a stunning example. It is in superb condition and benefits from the really quite sculptural form presented by the branching aggregates of bladed Baryte crystals, enhanced by their vivid inclusions. A really top-class Romanian specimen.
