This is a relatively huge and rich mass of intergrown erythrite crystals, for what it is among the richest such specimens that we have seen of this rare cobalt-containing species. Large crystals to 3 cm form a continuous, intergrown, thick mass of solid color, all with sparkling metallic luster and that rich magenta hue which we love in the species. It came from a small pocket of 2025, among the first good finds in some years. For the sheer amount of color and quantity of this mineral on a small cabinet sized display specimen, it is very impactful and draws the eye.
