Stanley Butte is a famous garnet locality in Arizona, known since the 1980s, if not earlier. Usually seen as clusters of dark brown dodecahedral crystals this large miniature specimen is paler in colour, but notably is a small number of large Andradite crystals surrounded by, and studded with smaller (mm size) garnet crystals. This is a quite distinctive piece from this very famous occurrence.
