During the 1990s some excellent purple and green octahedral Fluorite crystals were recovered from Skinner's Lode in the Silver Creek Valley, Oatman Mining District, Mohave County, Arizona, USA. This small cabinet specimen is the purple form and is actually really wonderful as a display of octahedral Fluorite crystals. It is blessed not only with a rich colour, but the crystals' octahedral form is delightful, with their shape pronounced by subtle raised 'ridges' down the edges of the crystals. Although quite matt on the surface (possibly through natural geological etching), the crystals have a great appearance, almost akin to jelly candy.
