This really unusual specimen comes from the Duncan area, Graham County, Arizona, USA. Nothing is known of the specific occurrence but the evidence presented by this specimen is purple colour cubo-octahedral Fluorite crystals encased, or epimorphed, by a thin layer of finely crystallized white Quartz. The Fluorite is naturally internally fractured, as seen in the exposed purple crystal, but the important feature here is the epimorph structure which preserves the shape of the underlying Fluorite really nicely. A really unusual Arizonan Fluorite and at very large miniature is a good size for presentation.
