This superb miniature specimen from the famous Morenci mine in Greenlee Co., Arizona, USA displays several extremely glossy deep blue crystals, and aggregated crystals of Azurite sat within a bright white clayey (possibly Kaolinite) matrix. This combination is known from Morenci but specimens are not seen very often, let alone as rich as this one. The individual Azurite crystals reach 9 mm across and are classic chunky tabular rhombic crystals. There is very slight bruising to the crystals that overhang the edge, but the others are in fine condition.
