Renowned for complex cyclic-twinning in Cerussite crystals this magnificent miniature specimen from Tsumeb mine is a stunning example. Reminiscent of a star, it also displays internally the complex pattern of twinning known as a 'snowflake' twin, or reticulated twinning. The individual branches, or arms, where each separate Cerussite crystal grows outwards taper to wedge-shaped terminations, but these all appear to be remarkably free from wear or damage. A small, but perfect Tsumeb Cerussite.
