This intriguing branching dendritic thumbnail specimen of Native Arsenic is from the famous historic silver-mining region of St. Andreasberg, Harz, Lower Saxony, Germany. It is intriguing because under magnification the base of the Native Arsenic dendrites are overgrown by platy microcrystals of Calcite but also many bright orange-red bladed crystals of a silver sulphosalt - possibly Proustite or perhaps Xanthoconite which was entirely missed during its original labelling. Ex Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021) Collection.
