World famous for its amazing geometrically perfect cubes of Pyrite the deposit at Navajún in La Rioja, Spain continues to inspire new collectors with its mineralogical wonders. This individual cube/cuboid, at 3.8 x 3.8 x 4 cm is already impressive, but what sets this particular crystal apart from others is its peculiar protrusions upon its surface. One, has the sharp faces of an internal twinned crystal pocking through, but the majority are harder to explain, appearing to be much more rounded and elongated. This produces a really intriguing effect to the golden metallic surfaces. A really quirky Pyrite cube from Navajún, complete all round and in superb condition.
