Back in the 1980s and 1990s the lead mines at Touissit in the Touissit-Bou Beker District of L'oriental Region, Morocco produced exceptional crystals of Cerussite and Wulfenite too, but this source has long-since ceased and good specimens from there are now quite hard to find. One of the features of the Cerussite crystals from Touissit is their fine twinning and excellent bright resinous lustre. This fine larger miniature specimen which comes from the Hettrich Collection in Germany, presents an excellent twin, both in terms of its overall shape, quite large size (the longest side of the twin is 5.7 cm in length), and in being largely free from damage (one slight rub to the top of one of the crystals and a couple of chips around the edges).
