This finely cut slice sectioned from a cluster of intergrown rhodochrosite stalactites, features a very interesting "hole" gap space in the middle for unusual character. These are extremely difficult to cut, and keep intact, at this size. It was perfectly, expertly polished by rhodo specialist Paul Cory of Iteco in the 1980s. This is from a large find in the 1980s, that is still the best quality found to date for this style of multiple connected stalactites. This material is no longer available on the contemporary market: this is from old inventory of a friend, purchased after they came out and stashed aside since then. Note that this slice matches to #2 in this update, as sequential slices from the same section. 210 grams.
