We bought these amazing mandarin-colored spessartine garnets when they came out in 2003, and sold most of them at the time. At one time, there were hundreds to be had...but that was early '00s, and recently they are almost unavailable in good quality. Most had brownish inclusions, or were malformed - the perfect jewels with perfect balanced crystal shapes were always rare. This is a stunning thumbnail with great color, great luster, good translucency, and complete all around. I found a small stash while cleaning my back warehouse during Covid years, and now present a final few specimens to the market of this now-classic gem species material, from the original find we purchased back in 2003. 15 grams. Complete, and a competitive-level thumbnail specimen.
