A thick, beautiful example of a rare extraterrestrial iron meteorite, from the famous Odessa meteorite fall (first found 1921 although it is thought to have hit around 64000 years ago); and now within a national park area of the USA. This specimen is thick and solid, with some unusual non-iron zonal inclusions of rock that are, according to the accompanying handwritten note of previous owner, silicate inclusions. We obtained a small collection of pretty, well-labeled meteorite slabs and thought we would share some on iRocks gallery for our customers, as these are, after all, simply another variety of native iron. 70 grams.
