The translucency and color make these vibrant additions to any mineral specimen showcase: a gorgeous plate of intergrown rhodochrosite stalactites, cut through in thin section and with a very nice horizon showing outgrowths. This slice was perfectly, expertly polished by Paul Cory of Iteco in the 1980s. This is from a large find in the 1980s, that is still the best quality found to date for this style of multiple connected stalactites. This material is no longer available on the contemporary market: this is from old inventory of a friend, purchased after they came out and stashed aside since then. Note that this slice matches to #3 in this update, as sequential slices from the same section. We will give the buyer 10 percent discount if they take both slices. 211 grams.
